Genki Rockets es un grupo japones, la cara del grupo es una chica llamada Lumi que es fictica. Lumi nacio el 11 de septiembre de 2037, tiene 18 años,y no ha estado nunca en la Tierra. La voz de Lumi es hasta cierto punto tambien ficticia ya que es la combinacion de las voces de varias artistas.Muchas de las personas detras de Genki Rockets siguen siendo un misterio, pero se sabe que detras de esta banda se esconde el productor Tetsuya Mizuguchi de Q Entertainment quien ya ha creado varias bandas sonoras de juegos para consolas y ahora tambien compone junto con otros artistas las canciones de esta banda.
Algunas personas reconoceran la cancion "Heavenly Star" la cual fue usada como Opening de un anime ficcional dentro del juego " No more Heroes" de wii( juego recomendado :P).
En junio de este año , la cancion "Star line" fue usada para el trailer del juego Child of Eden para PS3 y Xbox360.Tetsuya Mizuguchi ha referido a Lumi como la protagonista de este juego.4
Genki Rockets es una banda unica. Sus videos son casi completamente generados por computadora, incluyendo a Lumi.El estilo de sus videos fueron inspirados en el video de la banda noruega A-HA, Take on me. Sus conciertos tambien son unicos ya que usan efectos de hologramas llamados Musion Eyeliner.
